PTEX is the first private-owned spinning plant in Thailand, established in 1946 on over 110 acres of land at Samutprakarn, a neighbor province towards the east of Bangkok.
In 1972, PTEX opened a weaving plant in order to supply high-quality greige fabrics to both local and overseas clients by opening a weaving mill to supply high-grade grey fabrics.
In 2004, Ptex launched a new full concept of compact yarns by opened a modern 10,000 spindles RIETER K44 compact spinning plant.
In 2010, Ptex expanded more on compact yarns of 5,000 spindles, which created the total of compact spindles up to 15,000 spindles.
